How pricing works
Microsoft 365 work usually has up to three parts, priced separately so you can see each one:
- Licences, per user per month, at the level each person needs
- A migration, quoted as a fixed project based on how many mailboxes and how much data you are moving, and where from
- Ongoing management, per user per month, or included in a managed IT agreement
We will tell you if a cheaper licence covers what someone actually uses.
Getting started
- 1
Review
We look at your current email, file storage, devices and licences, and agree what moves and what is retired.
- 2
Plan and pilot
A small group moves first, so issues are found before everyone is affected.
- 3
Migrate
Mailboxes and files are copied in stages while people keep working.
- 4
Cut over
Mail delivery is switched to Microsoft 365 at an agreed time, and devices are connected to the new accounts.
- 5
Train and tidy up
Your team is shown the essentials of Outlook, Teams and OneDrive, and the old system is closed down when you are ready.
Microsoft 365 questions
Will we lose email during a migration to Microsoft 365?
A planned migration copies existing email before the switch and moves mail delivery at an agreed time, so messages keep arriving. Any short changeover window is agreed with you in advance.
Can you move us from Google Workspace or an old Exchange server?
Yes, both are common starting points. The review at the start confirms what can be moved automatically and what needs manual handling.
Does Microsoft back up our Microsoft 365 data?
Microsoft keeps the service running and protects against failures on its side, but recovering deleted or overwritten data beyond its retention settings is the customer's responsibility. Many businesses add a separate Microsoft 365 backup for that reason.
Which Microsoft 365 licence do we need?
It depends on what each person uses. Some people only need email and Office apps; others need device management and advanced security. Mixing licence types across your team is allowed and often saves money.
How does Microsoft 365 fit with UK GDPR?
Microsoft 365 provides the controls, such as access policies, retention and audit logs; your business is still responsible for how they are configured. We set them up with your data protection obligations in mind and document what was done.
Can you help us adopt Microsoft Copilot?
Yes. Copilot works best once permissions and file sharing are tidied up, which is part of our AI consultancy service.
